They have been living in Mumbai and are living a middle class lifestyle. Roshni's father was a police inspector and she follows her father's footsteps where she undergoes a training and is appointed with the same title and is in charge of the Santacruz Police Station. She finds enough evidence to get the Home Minister Anna Patil's son Dheeraj Kumar arrested, but the court does not find him guilty and this forces Roshni to quit. Her sister Anju is molested Dheeraj and goes into coma and when the police refuses to take action against this she confronts Anna Patil and Dheeraj and is soon on the run from the Police, accused of killing two of Patil's associates.
