Acting in ''Sholay'' remake was a mistake: Bachchan

Ahmedabad(Gujarat), Jul 7 (PTI) Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan Thursday conceded that acting in the remake of his legendary 1975 film "Sholay" was a mistake.The remake "Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag" (2007), directed by Ram Gopal Varma, had Bachchan in the role of the villain. But the film bombed at the box office, and was panned by critics.The actor was here for the promotion of his new film "Bbuddha Hoga Tera Baap".Interacting with the media, he said, "Sholay''s remake was a mistake. I should not have acted in the remake of my own film."To him, a remake will never be the same as an original. ...
